Deacon & Rosie - Love is in the air

Well can things get any better for these two. Deacon has certainly fallen for this little lady and who can blame him. He allows her to sleep on his sheepskin, they share litter trays, water. Luckily she does not like his food and he is only interested in her biscuits which seem to be O.K. for him.

He is doing her the world of good although he seems to think she cannot clean herself properly and likes to lend a paw.

No Christmas decs up yet in their room I thought I would leave that until Xmas Eve but I have most of their presents - although Mr Laserlight King would be just happy with that.

Deacon & Rosie

Well what a difference a week makes.

After the first physical meeting things have gone from strength to strength especially after Rosie decided she did not want to be locked up in the pen anymore.

Although I think she does find Deacon a little full on in the morning when he is trying to jump on her to play.

It is such a great feeling with her sitting on the sofa arm and Deacon on my lap.

I think it will do them both good to have the company and they can both look out into the garden.

Deacon - Love is in the air

What a week - master D finally got into Rosie's pen and he ran straight up to her and kiss her on the head. She responded by rubbing up against him so that it love is definitely in the air. I have decided they can meet up when I am around but I will keep them separate when I am not just to give them both space and ensure he only eat his sensitive food.

D also got through the kitchen and met the dog. He was not too sure but had a good sniff around and then decided to go back to his room. Again I will let him out every so often but any further introduction must be slow to ensure a smooth interaction. As always my first concern is for all the safety not only physically but mentally but you never know before Xmas both maybe moving around the whole house!

Deacon the clown

Busy weekend as I had to do a presentation for work. Although my bright idea of laptop on lap with Deacon by my side went out the window and ended with D flat out on my lap with laptop perch wobbly on the side with one hand typing.

Funniest part was D was fast asleep I was engrossed reading when we both jumped out of our skins when we heard this loud noise. Guess what it was - Rosie was in her bed lying on her back snoring away, well at least it was not me!

D has now been designated the title of clown of the house as he not only keeps guard of the garden via the window ledge but also keeps the window cleaner amused trying to catch the scraper. What a great little guy, sometimes I think it is just not fair that he has the big c hanging over him. But what is the saying - 'its always the good ones'!

Deacon's weekend

Bit of a funny one as all the routines went out the window.

I actually fell asleep on the sofa with him which him seemed to enjoy although he was not too sure about the snoring!

Deacon Update

A bit of an up and down week - mainly because I have been late home most nights because of work.

He seemed a little quieter the other day but I think it was the change in weather as he was back to his old self last night. I have never known a cat that likes to lick you so much!

Although he may not like me tomorrow as I am going to hoover in the room - any tips of how to hand brush a carpet whilst a cat jumps on the brush would be helpful.

Things are going well. He was Mr Devil Cat last night as he kept running passed Rosie, trying to swat her on the head.

It was probably because I was late home last night - he really needs his routine!

Well we are so glad that the fireworks have finished, last night they turned Deacon into DEVIL BOY as he was so hyperactive even Rosie looked dazed.

He saw the dog tonight - he sat on the sofa and Harley watched through the kitchen door but Deacon did not seemed bothered in the slightest. I am interested whether he will attempt anymore escapes now he knows what is on the other side!

Poor Deacon did not like the fireworks last night. Whilst padding away he could see out the window and someone must have had a display in the village and his little eyes were getting bigger and bigger and the horror on his face.

Let's hope things are calmer tonight.

Deacon Update

We are now placing bets as to when he will get into the kitchen.

All he needs to do is persuade one of ours and between them they could open the door. Anyway I keep telling him that if he lived in the main house Rosie would miss him and he would then have to fight for a sofa like the rest of us!

Deacon String Play

Poor little man had an upset tummy last night but has bounced back today and is still licking his bowls clean.

Visit

Unfortunately new arrival did not turn up as they could not catch her.

Mum loved Deacan and he decided that she was good padding material and after a hour she looked like a pin cushion.

New Arrival

What a day for a new arrival - I have been down to the pen to get it ready and there is a gale force wind out there. Unfortunately three will be a crowd so she has to go in the outside pen but once the door is shut and heating/heat pad on, with Classic FM playing she will be warm and snug.

Deacon had another good night, and licked his bowl clean, I do not know where he puts it all - my Mother has come down from Wales for a visit and wants to meet him so I have told him he needs to be on his best behaviour!

In big trouble tonight as I got home late and did not have time for a cuddle before dinner. I am now paying with a major padding session!

He had a good night and has now decided that the two beds with heat pads are not for him as he much prefers lying under the radiator!

He keeps trying to get through to the kitchen even though I tell him about the big soppy dog the other side.

He also did not look too happy when I disturbed his padding to go to work either.

Good day today - there is nothing wrong with his appetite - a sachet of sensitive food plus half a boneless chicken breast TWICE a day.

Although treats are out as they can aggravate his tummy. Best go it is time for his nightly cuddle!

Deacon - Play time

Great little chap takes more of your heart everyday - when he plays he certainly goes for it. Only downside is his litter habits but then again it is not his fault and we can live with it.

Cannot believe it but Deacon has a tumour - no treatment available.

Cannot leave the guy outside so he has been moved into the foster room - settled in nicely.
